This is my favicon instead of a logo. I’m loosely inspired by the whole brat style of branding—simple and not really convoluted at all.

The typography I’ve selected is the following:

Body

Subtitle/Header
ACCENT

ALL OF WHICH ULTIMATELY CULMINATES INTO THE FOLLOWING:

It might not be the prettiest, but I think it remains playful and true to the modern core of making something inherently ugly.

I found that this kind of branding for me is rather fitting. I’m not trying to make a bold or brash statement conveying the essence of myself as described in the videos. I think I’m still figuring it all out, hence the slashed role titles under my name. I’m not a single thing and it’s difficult to reduce down to that. Subsequently, my work spans media as well.

The simplicity give me a sort of blank slate. It doesn’t define me extremely in one way or another. So, a user visiting my website won’t and shouldn’t necessarily come in with some preconceived notion of who I am or what my work looks like. The discovery phase relates to what Virgil Abloh was talking about when he says that one should examine the throughlines of their work. I think I’m still figuring that out.
