This was a frustrating time, I will admit.
I’m realizing that I consistently have the wrong resistors, so I decided to stop using them. So far, nothing has caught ablaze.
This was iteration one, in that I could get the lights to turn on with the configuration I had, with my computer actively pushing code to my arduino.
I then figured out how to fix the fact that the button didn’t work. Hurray!
Feeling pretty confident, I proceeded to move onto pushing outputs to the console. I struggled for perhaps 30 minutes until I realized I needed to push this button:
And so we were set up:

After troubleshooting inputs/outputs, everything fell into place and felt rather simple.

Tap seems to be going crazy. Not sure if this was a parameter issue with how it was coded or if my buttons are wonky.
I then set up my sensor:

I then set up my dimmer. I had to use the one that wasn’t a square because that one was finicky and not reading/writing properly (probably due to how it connected in the circuit, but still)!
